this weekend, we’ll be wrapping up our month of rio with a look through our latest find: the modernity of landscape, a 344 page photographic ode to the late brazilian landscape artchitecht roberto burle marx. marx was a master at crafting artful city gardens, parks and other landscapes such as ipanema beach’s copacabana promenade.
this visual diary of his career is chock full of excerpts from architects, anthropologists, environmentalists and botanists from around the world.
the best part? the book is available (for free!) on issuu for any digital device—so you can get outside, scroll and still enjoy.
